Alexandre Ayer is French-American. He was born in 1980, raised in Paris, and currently resides in New York City, where he works as a photographer and cinematographer.
He has been involved in photography and has had a curiosity for the world since childhood. What was originally a hobby became a full time passion after his first exhibition in Paris, which was set up to raise funds for an NGO in Cambodia. A second exhibition soon followed, this time for a center for Dalit children in Southern India.
He now travels as often as possible, documenting his experiences, fulfilling assignments, and living his passion for photography and film. He is above all an observer, curious by nature, with a pretty serious case of wanderlust. Photography is a way for him to share emotions, learn about himself as a human being, and a way to give back and help those that are less fortunate.
